Plainly, and before anything else: Beaujolais Tours may earn a commission when you book through a link on this site, at no extra cost to you.

What that means in practice

The tours listed here are sold by Viator and GetYourGuide. When you follow a link from one of these pages and go on to book, the platform pays us a share of its own commission. You pay the same fare either way; the price on the booking page is the operator's price, not a marked-up one.

What we are not

We are not a tour operator. We do not run any of these tours, employ any of these guides or hold your booking. Your contract is with the operator, through the platform.

We have no connection with any estate, winery or wine merchant, with Inter Beaujolais, with the Beaujolais UNESCO Global Geopark, with the ONLYLYON or Beaujolais tourist offices, or with any of the places these tours stop at.

How tours get listed

Operators cannot pay for placement, position or a badge. A badge on a card is the platform's own, shown only where the platform awards it. Some operators sell the same day on both platforms, and each appears on its own because each is separately bookable and priced. Where the two listings of one day disagree, as the two vintage-car days do on lunch, each card says what its own listing says.

The featured tours at the top of the homepage are three different days: the Golden Stones half day in the south from Place Bellecour, the full day in the crus from the same square, and the private day by vintage Land Rover from Belleville-sur-Saône station, with lunch.

Prices, ratings and how current they are

Prices, star ratings and review counts belong to the operators and were taken from their own listings on 24 September 2026. They move, and the figure at checkout is the one that counts. Every tour fare is quoted in US dollars because that is the currency the listings were captured in; nothing is converted at an exchange rate. Most fares are per person, and several private days need two people to book. Three are priced for the whole party: the Golden Stones private half day for up to three, and the Pérouges day and the Au Tour du Vin private day for up to four.

The appellation figures come from Inter Beaujolais, the Beaujolais wine council; the Geopark figures from the UNESCO Global Geopark's own site; the villages from the Plus Beaux Villages de France; the Lyon tourist office's hours from ONLYLYON; and the climate normals from Météo-France. Where a detail comes from an operator's listing, such as a meeting point, a group size or a stop, it belongs to that tour.

What we deliberately do not publish

• Opening hours and prices for Oingt's tower, the Château de Pizay or Pérouges. The pages we read did not publish them; the tours that stop there include what they include.
• A train timetable. We say "about half an hour" from Lyon Part-Dieu to Belleville-sur-Saône, from the operators' own notes. Check SNCF for your date.
• A phone number for the Lyon tourist office. It was not on the pages we read. We print its location and its daily hours instead.
• A 2026 harvest date or a Beaujolais Nouveau festival programme. We print the release rule, the third Thursday of November, which the wine council publishes.
• Listing claims no official source supports. One listing calls the Beaujolais terroirs a UNESCO World Heritage Site; the region is a UNESCO Global Geopark, a different label. Another dates an abbey on its route to the 5th century, which the abbey's Cluniac founders make impossible, so we give no date. Superlatives about France's finest wines are not repeated either.
